Who is the Master of Computer Vision for?

This program is a new and applied online master’s degree in Computer Vision that is designed by leading experts at companies such as Huawei, Itseez3D, Intel, Harman, and Experience AI, as well as HSE scholars involved in advanced research within the computer vision field with publications in top-ranked journals.

You’ll be able to build on your undergraduate bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, technology, or mathematics and immerse yourself in the modern, dynamically developing, and universally demanded field of computer vision, creating a solid foundation for your professional career.

Cohorts and Deadlines:

Applications for the Fall 2021 cohort are now closed. The Fall 2021 cohort will start on September 1, 2021.

The entrance exam will take place on 19 August and 25 August 2021 in two different sessions on both days - morning (10 am to 12 pm Moscow time (+3 GMT) and evening (19 pm to 21 pm Moscow time (+3 GMT)).

An applicant should choose only one day and time session to pass exam, both exam dates are equal and do not imply priority enrollment. All applicants must register for the exam in their personal account. Please email the program manager on if you have any questions.

Admission Requirements & Process

This online Master of Computer Vision degree gives students the opportunity to become experts in the fast-growing field of computer vision. Graduates will be equipped with the skills to assume positions such as a Computer Vision Software Engineer, Perception Engineer, 3D Perception/Computer Vision Algorithm Engineer, Computer Vision Testing Engineer, and Computer Vision Scientist. A bachelor’s degree in Math, Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or any other relevant field is preferable but not mandatory.

To be eligible for the program, applicants must have an eligible bachelor’s degree. 3 year degrees and degrees of all majors and minors are valid. There is no GPA requirement.

All applicants must pass an online exam that tests their proficiency in math and computer science basics.

There are several key steps that you need to take in order to apply for the MCV program:

Step 1: Submit the application form

To get access to your account, click on one of the following links, based on your citizenship:

Approximately within an hour, you will receive your login and password to sign in. Fill out and submit your application form. Please be sure that you select the "Master of Computer Vision" program in your application. Otherwise, the HSE MCV team will not receive your application.

Step 2: Provide signed copies of key documents

Once you receive your login and password to access the application portal, complete and sign hard copies of the following documents 1. CONSENT for Personal Data Processing 2. AGREEMENT between Participants of Electronic Communications 3. ADMISSION FORM Scanned copies can be uploaded to the online application.

Step 3: Complete the full application

When you recieve your login and password to access the application portal, complete the online application form. Remember to attach the scanned copies of your signed documents to the “Other achievements” section in your account after registration is complete.

Note: If you are successfully admitted to the program, you will need to submit the following documents to HSE in order to officially enroll in the Fall 2021 cohort. We recommend that you prepare them early:

  • Academic diploma with supplements/transcript
  • Notarized translation of diploma with supplements/transcript into Russian
  • Passport/ID
  • Notarized translation of Passport/ID into Russian
  • Legalization of documents
