Catherine DeRose, a PhD candidate in English at the University of Wisconsin—Madison, teaches courses on composition, British literature, and liberal studies. She has a special interest in Shakespeare and his legacy, though her primary research focuses on nineteenth-century British literature, book history, and digital humanities. She is part of the Visualizing English Print project, a collaboration that uses computational methods to study early modern literature at increasing scales.
