Good overview of fundamentals, but lacking of stuff prepared for exercises (at-least, simple data files to download and use).

Not enough real hands on practical exercises.

It should have a practicar environment

I learned hands-on how to use the Azure data factory, and I also eyeballed the Azure Synapse platform especially while sinking my data streams to the dedicated SQL pool. I learned how to create ELT pipelines to orchestrate data movement and transformation in the cloud at scale and across data stores like Azure Blob and ADLSG2.

These experiences are particularly relevant to my job in the energy sector.

I think this course's "Readings" sections can be improved. They are actually labs, but the instruction is only comprehensive if you do some extra research. During one of those researches, I found a lab resource I would explore after this course.

The theory videos are very well explained, the fail is that the practical part is very poor without a work environment to study or a guide to enter that environment (if it exists), I had to use a personal account to achive the workshops. Additionally, there is no clear guide to perform the proposed exercises.

The concepts are very interesting and easy to understand but the exercises are very complicated and they weren't explained correctly, it lacked a lot of context.

Exercises should have been explained by video rather than illustrated with pictures

Practical exercises are not well prepared and most of them (if not all of them) are missing so many required files in order to finish it.

The quiz and exams within the course are misordered. Many times there are questions that are answered only in the upcoming lessons.

No code base/ samples to upload for the exercices.

No sandox available either.

Sloppy job. Appalling. I'm losing my time.

Without sandbox or pr-prepared environment the example tasks are not easy to complete.

No option to do hands on practice. Purely theoretical course.

Topics can be explained much more simpler than they are explained here. For instance, it does not add too much value to memorize (because it's in the quiz) how many cores of CPU is used in a debug session. Or which version SSIS projects were introduced in SQL Server (reminder: this is not a SQL Server training).

Also the exercises do not provide a VM to test your knowledge like in GCP or IBM's trainings. All in all, I am not satisfied with this course at all.

Many mistakes in the exercises. They have all been reported multiple times and being mentioned in the discussion forum for more than a year. No one is taking any action to correct them.

The material is very dry just repeating the written content from the learn.microsoft.com website.

Coursera description is very misleading, and suggest the availability of practice exercises. But the possibility to execute exercises is not provided for most module!

Shame - I now switched to Microsoft Learn to take this course
