As a ground work introduction to 3D art and the encompassing topics, the video tutorials are solid. The assets that you work with are good and the tasks at the end of each topic are engaging.
However, my problems are with the Quizzes and how the course is not deep enough with the learning. There are no real lessons happening.
For example: In the materials course, the exercise is to import textures and apply them in the correct slots in the newly created materials. Easy enough!
The following quiz then asks about Red, Green, Blue and alpha channels and which channel controls the roughness of a material. It's such a large leap.
I bought this course to prepare me for the exam, but honestly, i think i spent more time on the unity documentation page that the coursera website.
I would want a serious re-vamp from this course, that included video lessons explaining about how the different channels worked, how creators work to create models and texture (just a lesson, an hour or so lesson at the start of each week) something like that.
