Welcome back. For this module we're going to shift our focus and you'll be hearing from my colleague Gary Fischer. As he talks with you about leadership annual giving. An alumnus of Penn State, he came to UC Davis in 2012 with a passion for fundraising and a deeply held belief in the power of education to change the world. He shifted to the non-profit sector after a 20 year career in corporate sales and marketing, where his relationship based sales approach generated more than 58 million dollars in revenue. As a leadership annual giving officer at UC Davis, his record setting performance quickly led to a promotion. Now, as a regional major gift officer, he has established himself as a role model, mentor and expert fundraiser. In this module you'll first be learning about building a portfolio of leadership annual giving donors, next, Gary we'll talk with you about securing a donor visit, both best practices and things he's learned from his own experience, and lastly, you will discuss working with high value donors and how to qualify them for solicitation, soliciting them and building relationships. After this module you will be able to develop a portfolio of Annual Giving donors, capable of leadership level annual gifts or gifts over a thousand dollars. You'll be able to discuss ideas and best practices for securing a face to face donor visit. Gary will guide you through how to successfully qualify and solicit a high value annual donor as well. And lastly, and probably most importantly, you'll apply strategies to build relationships with donors to help them achieve their philanthropic goals. Ready to get started?
