[MUSIC] When you first log in to WeVideo, you can click on one of two buttons to either upload media or create a video. And, in this case, if you're going to make a digital story, you're going to need media such as still images, audio narration, music, possibly video clips. And you could click here and upload media, however you're also going to need to create a video for your digital story. And I find that it's easier to click on this button when you first begin. So, I'm going to click on Create a Video, and that's going to bring up the interface for WeVideo on your either Windows or Macintosh desktop or laptop computer. So it will sometimes ask you to fill out a little survey where WeVideo collects some information about its users, or it will feature new options with the tool. I'm going to close this. And you can see now, here's the main interface of WeVideo, and it's in the timeline mode. There's a different mode called storyboard, but we don't really care about that right now. We like timeline view where you can drop in various pieces of content, still images, video clips, music, audio narration, but we don't have any media yet. And we could upload media from here. And I'm going to suggest instead that when you first get started, that you come over to the Media tab at the top of the WeVideo screen and click on that. And at this point you can upload here, but what I suggest, instead, is to come down to this little plus sign in the bottom right-hand corner. And you can upload from, by clicking on the upload button, or you can create a new folder. And that's what I'm going to suggest that you do when you first start using WeVideo before you begin assembling your digital story. And the reason I like to do this, I'll go ahead and click on this. And I will type in the word Images and then click the Create button. I like to do this so that I can keep my files organized, and I can keep all of my images together. I'll go ahead and create another new folder and call this Music, and I'll create that. And then I'll create one more and call it audio narration. I'll just call it Narration for short. And I'll create one more, and this one will be for video clips. And I don't know yet whether I'm going to use video clips in my story. You may not know, but you can just have these folders there so that you can then upload your content directly into these folders. So let's start by double-clicking on the Images folder, and that will put me inside of that folder. And now I can click Upload, or I can just drag and drop. Let's click on the button, and that gives me this drag and drop location. I have some pictures that I have preselected and saved on my computer, and I will just drag and drop them here. And you can see that there are 4 files. And it takes a few seconds for them to upload, depending on both the size of the files and the speed of your Internet connection. So after a few seconds, they will show up, and there are my pictures. And I'm going to then go back to media, and I'm going to click back here on that back arrow. And now I'll go to my Music folder. And I have some music, again, that I preselected. So I'll click on the Upload More Files, and I'll navigate on my computer to where I have my music. And I'll drag and drop that. And you can see that that music file, an mp3 file, is now being uploaded to WeVideo, and I'll click back again. You can keep moving while things are being uploaded. I'll click back again. I'll go to my audio Narration folder, double-click. Click on the upload button one more time, select Upload More Files. Navigate on my computer to where I have my narrated audio, and I will drag that. And it's again another mp3 file, and after a few seconds it goes from PROCESSING to DONE. And I will then go back one last time to Video Clips, and I have a video clip that I've saved on my computer. And I'll navigate to where that is, and I'll drag and drop that onto the Drag & Drop window and then that file will be uploaded as well. So, when I'm all done, I can go back to my media view, and I can see all of my images. I can see any music that I've added. I can see narration, audio file. And the video clip must still be uploading because it doesn't show up yet, and you can see up here the progress. Video files are typically larger than image files or audio files. And so it takes longer for those files to be uploaded to WeVideo. And again, based on the file size and the speed of the Internet connection will determine how long that will actually take. But after a few minutes, it should be done, and it will available to you on WeVideo. So that's the way that I suggest that you add content to WeVideo so that it's all there and organized for you before you start putting your digital story together. [MUSIC]
