Welcome back to our course on FinTech Disruptive Innovations: Implications for Society A FinTech revolution or evolution In this module, we're going to be looking at diversity of impact This follows our evolution versus revolution discussion and comes before predicting the future So, this will help us and predict the future because we're going to look at how has FinTech affect different groups different parts of society differently Then, we're going to look in week four and implications for your jobs your career, your future and have you do a final project So, that's where we're going in the course This week is the second week or second module of this course In this module, we're going to look specifically at diversity of impact for East versus West We'll talk about what do we mean by East and what do we mean by West and how that might not be what you think We're going to look at big versus small big corporations, big FinTech firms big finance firms, small firms startups, implications for big versus small across society We're going to look at young versus old and what's the implications of differences in age in attitudes, in needs and features, and willingness to share data or willingness to go online willingness to do new things We're going to look at haves and have-nots both an economic divide of income diversity but also a digital divide of digital diversity and it might not be what you think because the income and digital access are not always correlated So, this will be our week as we look at differences across the planet Earth and how FinTech may be different and its adoption rate or needs or focus or solution to problems for different parts of the market as well as how have the marketplace reacted to FinTech innovations and ideas how that's differential across these four different cuts in segmenting our society across the planet Earth Thank you.
