Hi, and welcome back. So glad to see you've made it to our fifth module. You're cruising and you're almost ready to take your exam and become a Certified Professional Installer, or CPI. So far, we've learned all about the Citizens Broadband Radio Service, or CBRS, and we've covered all the duties and responsibilities of a CPI. As a CPI, you'll be validating the proper installation of CBSDs, and today, we're going to talk about getting you your official certification. In this lesson, we're going to walk you through the four steps to getting certified, and we'll also talk about how you actually receive your CPI credentials and what to do if your credentials are stolen. So to become a Certified Professional Installer of CBSDs, you first need to complete the CPI training. The good news is if you're watching me now, you're almost done. After you've completed this course, you'll pick a date and register for the online certification exam on ProctorU. The exam consists of multiple choice questions on all the material presented in this program, and we've covered everything you need to know. You can take the exam later today if you're feeling up to it. To pass the exam, you'll need to get 75 percent of the questions right. You can do this! If you do not pass the exam, you can take the test again after seven days. If you pass, we'll work with our certificate authority partner, INSTA, to get you your CPI credentials. You'll also be assigned a CPIR-ID, which is like your CPI username. Once you've passed your certification exam, we'll get in touch to deliver your CPI credentials. You'll also get an activation code on your mobile phone, so make sure that the contact information you entered for this course is up to date. Double-check your contact information in your Coursera profile before completing this course. We'll register you with the WInnForum database so that all the SAS providers have your information as quickly as possible, and then, you're ready to go. Certification is the beginning, not the end. After you get your CPI credentials, it's really, really important that you keep them safe. If someone gets their hands on your credentials, they can pretend to be you, and you may end up being legally liable for whatever they do with them. Remember, the CBRS band depends on different users sharing the same spectrum, and SAS providers can't make that possible without 100 percent accurate information provided by CPIs. For the system to work, CPIs have to be responsible for every piece of information they provide to a SAS. If you lose your credentials or think someone might have a copy, please contact us immediately at cpi-training@google.com, and we can help you get new ones. Your CPI certification will be valid for five years. After that, you'll need to re-certify. But if you re-certify at the right time, you won't need to go through this whole training again. Just to be safe, we recommend re-certifying a month early, and we'll send a reminder three months before your certification runs out. When you do re-certify, you'll be issued a new set of credentials. If your certification does run out, you won't be able to install CBSDs anymore, but you will still have another year where you can easily re-certify without going through the full training and the exam. If you do wait longer though, you'll have to go through every step of the process if you want to be a CPI again. If you want to, you can use a different TPA to re-certify, and they'll determine the expense of re-certifying. So now that you know how to obtain and keep your CPI certification, it looks like you're ready for the final lesson in your training. See you soon.
