Reclaiming the artist, and reclaiming the healer. Now I would like you to settle into your body, and we're going to bring these two aspects together as one. As you in this moment breathe deeply, allowing your body to center, feeling yourself opening. In your mind's eye, imagine yourself as an artist. Beautiful, now imagine yourself as a healer. Imagine these two aspects of yourself standing face to face. You are an artist, you are a healer. Invite these two parts of yourself to step into one another. When you see out of the eyes of the artist, you also see out of the eyes of the healer. When you see out of the eyes of the healer, you are also seeing out of the eyes of the artist. This is a powerful integration of your creative life and your capacity to heal. When you make your art with intention to heal, you call forth your inner resources. The parts of yourself that may be hidden and suppressed, allowing them to gently emerge, to communicate to you and release. As we move into our creative process, we engage our mind, our body, our spirit, totally. It's not something you even have to try to do. It just happens, give yourself permission to move into this sacred and creative process. Honoring whatever emerges, allowing yourself to gently release and express both positive and negative feelings or experiences. Have faith in yourself. Hold yourself in a sacred way, honoring your process and your own life. You have inner wisdom. Through your creative process you tap into this vast inner world of wisdom and deep knowing. Trust the process of being an artist and a healer, the artist and healer are one, so be it.
