Hello, everyone. Welcome back to week four of our course, Health For All Through Primary Healthcare. This week on our Coursea Express, we're going to be looking at the concept of community health workers in resource constrained settings. We're going to be looking at their role from a historical perspective, as well as talking about the way that community health workers have been used in various projects in Africa as they're proposed for the future, at Brack and Bangladesh And John Kidd at the Comprehensive Rural Healthcare project there in central India and in Nepal. Finally we will be exploring an exciting primary healthcare project that Brad has developed for the urban slums of Bangledesh. And then from there move on to Brazil, to take an exciting look at the progress that Brazil has made in developing its own primary health care services, and the important progress they have made in achieving health for all. In addition to the lecture, we have several exciting videos for you to watch. One of these is about comunity health workers, another one is about the managment of pnemonia in the community by community health workers. In the thrid video that you'll be watching is an address by our Secretary of State in the United States, Hillary Clinton, at a conference for beginning the process of preventing child deaths around the world by the year 2035. And the reading that you have for this week is related to the address that Hillary Clinton made. It's an article by the heads of the World Health Organization and UNICEF. About how we can end preventable child deaths by the year 2035. Once you have completed the lecture and the videos and the readings, we want you to, again take five minutes or so to reflect on all this and post any questions or comments you have on the discussion forum. And then, we want you to move quickly to take the quiz. Again, your weekly quiz, that will be a multiple choice quiz as before. And again, as before, you can take this up to four times. And then, as a final wrap up learning opportunity for you. you will be writing an eight page paper as your culminating, essay for this course. And in that paper you're going to be considering the following question. What can I do now or in the future acting alone or with an organization to help achieve health for all through primary health care? The details for this will be on the course website, and again the deadline will be the same as the deadline for the quiz. So I hope you have a great week four, and even though this is the final week of lectures and assignment preparation, there still is, as you know, one more week to go in the course. And during the week five of this course, you'll be carrying out a peer review of your papers prepared by your fellow students. So we hope you have a great week, and enjoy the final leg of this exciting bus ride on the Coursera Express.
