Power can be a big influence, but it can always be very distracting. In my opinion, power is used as a then it's very powerful. Basically, you can influence the meetings, you can influence whatever you're doing in the moment. It makes a huge difference if you have a meeting with equals and then all of the sudden, somebody with authority comes into the meeting room, everything changes at this particular moment. I have actually my own experience on this one here. I came to a department, which I would describe as dysfunctional, because there was more power struggling on, there where no leader there it was really a disarray. And I think when I walked in there with the authority to run this business, I think everything started to calm down instantly. That means I didn't really do anything. Just by the pure fact of my presence, that I have the authority to make decisions, the authority to influence the people, calmed the whole situation already down. And I think in this point it has a huge influence. You can virtually say like, in the courtroom of course it can be negative if power is in my opinion abused. People very often abuse it, then of course power can be very, very negative in my opinion. To work with this group of people at internationals and different ethnic groups it always causes more friction than anything else because you're not really working with equals from the same ethnic groups. And I think this causes very often problems, especially in my opinion that some people always feel that they are disadvantaged. That they are basically not treated well, that they're basically, very often they even say they're second class and so on and so forth. I would say a good example which I have here, we had a VP in the company and he came from a different country. He always felt that he was treated wrong and he always felt that he cannot move up in the company because he is a different person. His color is different, he comes from a country where basically it's not too much appreciated. He forgot completely the fact that he basically did not treat the womans very well. He forgot the fact that he himself didn't like other ethnic groups. And with people like that, it's very difficult to work. And while I do not have at this moment an example of how to solve the It's a problem but, I know that this counts as mostly problem with themselves because they always have the strong belief that they are on the short end of the stick and I think that causes in my opinion, very often frictions. It may be sometimes true and it may not be sometimes true you have to be very careful when you talk with these people about the religious background of the politics, stay out of it, and try to avoid these kinds of conversation and I think this will solve a lot of problems in itself. For me it's very important to, not to be aggressive with any kind of meetings, any kind of people. I think you have to be yourself, you have to be understanding and you have to put yourself in their positions. The old people are different in a way that every problem is different. You have to approach in a different way. I feel that by being yourself and be as less aggressive as you can be, it's the best approach. Also, in my opinion, you should never blame somebody. You should always speak as a team and try to solve the problem as a team and not as individual. I think it's very bad if you basically, address the conflicts from one single person in front of the other people. So I think that should be always avoided. But the best way is always to be yourself and be as understanding as possible. As a hear again, I have to say it's very important that you are yourself. In my opinion you should never blame anybody and you have to understand what exactly my opinion is a team. A team is always a group of people coming together it. A company can be seen as a team, a department, or any other group can be seen as team. So a team is always brought together with different people. There may be very talented one, there may be very hard-working one. There may be less talent and less aggressive workingly. But there may be even as far as I am concerned, some people which have some disadvantages or handicaps. And you have to form a team that even in soccer I would say Messi is the best player. Are ten Messi's forming a team? My opinion, not. I think the team needs to be formed and you have to be the man who forms the team the frame gets to get the credit and the team fails to get it. That's the fact in this I think this is the way how you have to approach this. But, the key here is definitely, do not blame, and not work as you and I, or she I think we as a team fail, and we as a team win. I think that's the key. This is one of the handicap which most foreigners actually have, and I have to say I am one of them who has an experience here. When you feel insecure in a language, you always see yourself in a disadvantage. And you always see yourself as not taking with the necessary respect. When I arrived here, it was very difficult for me to adapt to it. But as a European, I probably had a huge advantage here. But I see it in a company that some Americans or even Middle Easterner which come here, and they're not very good in the language. They basically feel so uncomfortable to bring their problems to somebody else's attention that they basically would rather go home and feel bad versus addressing the conflict as it is. It's a very complicated system. But you can of course blame the American system but you have to blame always the individuals because you shouldn't go home and continue with your native language. You should actually come and speak English and this would solve many in my opinion, quite a few problems all together. In I see it for myself in the company, that people actually like to come to my office because I understand the Spanish language and I can talk with them. And I see, definitely, a much more balanced group of people than I see sometimes in other departments, where basically the people with shortcomings in English that there are basically having a disadvantage.
