[MUSIC] Hello I am Ramon Diaz Bernardo, Professor of Marketing at IE Business School. I would like to introduce you to the Marketing Plan Course. Why the marketing plan is important? Basically, in the marketing plan we try and put together what is going to be the marketing strategy of our product or service. Is a very important exercise that we do every year that we do in the Marketing Management job. Basically, it's where we define what is going to be my objective and how I'm going to reach it. We define the resources, we define the actions, we define the timing. These are probably the most important exercise that the marketing people have. What is it we are going to see in this course? We are going to have a number of very exciting features that I really think that you are going to enjoy. For example, interviews within the [INAUDIBLE], we will have some. Professors come in with with us to discuss different topics. Students being interviewed to give us their opinion on their perception of our different elements of the marketing plan. Visual diagrams to help you understand. So basically a whole range of learning tools that are going to help you gain a very understanding and knowledge of what is a marketing plan. And the most exciting thing probably is at the end of this course, we going to do an assessment. For each model we will be doing assessments and they will be project based, meaning that you're going to work yourself. In your own project or one project that we're going to give you which is a case. The Nissan Leaf case. Nissan Leaf is electric car, full electric, and the case basically analyzes the situation for the launching of Nissan Leaf in Germany. So you'll put together the marketing plan for that product. And the other option which is very exciting from my perspective, which is basically deciding to launch your own product, your own business, your own business idea, and do a marketing plan for it, okay? So in every step, in every model, you'll work your assessment on your specific your business idea, your venture. Why is this exciting? Well, because this is going to be probably the first step in your process of actually putting in practice your business idea. So, I think it's going to be very helpful and actually very practical and useful for you. Remember those of you doing the capstone project at the end of this specialization, that this part of this marketing plan course is going to be an excellent preparation, and a stepping stone to completing that. So, I really hope you will enjoy the course, you will learn a lot, and I thank you very much. Thank you. [MUSIC]
