Welcome to Salesforce Fundamentals. Congratulations on almost completing your business administration specialists superbadge. As you've gone through these modules, you've done reports and dashboards for lightning experience, gotten your feet wet on data security and managing access through different components. Customizing org to support a new business unit, creating reports and dashboards for sales and marketing and now you're ready to tackle on and integrate everything that you've learned into a new organization. As you go through this challenge, I challenge you to conceptually think of salesforce and how you would implement into your organization. As you go through this challenge, you'll be implementing salesforce into a fictional company called Ursa Major Solar. As you go through this, understand how each of these components can be applied to your organization. That's how you will learn the most about implementing salesforce. This superbadge will cover six components which will be clean and import account data, creating users and managing access, creating email templates for new marketing needs, configuring UI tools for new product types, creating reports and dashboards, and managing and applying chatter tools. As you go through the text, you will see that it's a very lengthy text and at the very end, you will see the six components that you need to complete. As you can see from my badge, it's already been completed, so I won't be able to do this challenge for you. But each of these particular challenges has a little badge that needs to be completed as you move on. As you go through this challenge, you can always take a break and move on to a different section if you would like. However, I recommend that you allot at least six to eight hours for you to complete this challenge. But with that being said, I'll go through each of these components and give you a little bit of a heads up as to where students and I myself had a challenge in completing this challenge. The first thing that comes up is installing the residential and sells asset package. If you do not install this or read or gloss over this or it's not installed properly into your trailhead account, you will not be able to complete this challenge. In the past, a lot of students and trailheads have not been able to adequately update this into their account. If you are not able to do that, go ahead and create a new trailhead and upload the package. This will give you a really good start and doing the rest so the case. As business administration specialists, you wear many hats. You do everything from handling reports from marketing, creating new branding requirements, creating and configuring a UI components for the sales team and collaborating on chatter. The business case is what Ursa Major has told you that you needed to do and these are going to be the key stakeholders that are going to be supervising you and your work and these are all fictional. These are the standard objects that you're going to be working with. Account, contact, opportunity, leads and cases. They are not asking you to create custom objects, which is good, but it is good to understand where these objects are and how to utilize them. Data Management, it's very important, as I mentioned, in the data module that you maintain data very clearly. Let's get started with the user management. The user management is going to be the first task that you're going to be doing. You're going to be adding Ada, Lincoln, Lance, Erin, and Shinje. The biggest challenge when it comes to this is reading through this text and make sure that you have all the permissions and configurations you need for each user. But most importantly, is whether or not the user is active. As you can see here, Ada and Shinje are the only two that are active. Remember that when you create a new user, every single user is created active. You will actually have to save the user, click out of it, click back into the user and deactivate their account. If you do not do this, this will not complete the project. In addition, the other challenge that comes up is the language preference and bilingual pilot. Make sure you that you pay special attention to this because this will apply to Shinje Tashi's specific profile. Make sure that you follow along and create the language preference in the bilingual pilot. The way you do that is go to the object builder and go to the users and go to language preferences in the fields and relationship section and create the bilingual pilot. Once you have concluded this, you're going to go into the meat of the superbagde is creating accounts reports and dashboards. The reports are pretty straightforward and we'll have a lot of the components that you need in order to create the reports that they're asking you to, and they're really nicely broken down here in the text. Once you've completed that, the more challenging part is creating the specific dashboards that are required free to these. As you can see, there's a team score dashboard, there's a rep score dashboard, and they are completely separate dashboards, and each of them are for account distribution, top accounts, rating by state and so on. Make sure you place a good chunk of your time, making sure that you go through the fine details of each of the reports and dashboards before you move on and complete this challenge. Next, you'll do the marketing mandate, which is creating an email signature and creating a custom letterhead and template for your email. Once you've done this, you'll send out a test e-mail that will go directly to your account email that you've linked to your trailhead too, and you'll be able to complete this challenge. Now is platform capabilities, this is the lightening flow and creating the entitlement management in how you're going to be moving your customers long through the different basis and levels of your business. Lastly, you'll be doing a collaboration in chatter and assigning different components to different people, adding a photo and communicating with your team. The great thing about this superbadge again, is being able to take a break and come back to it at any point in time. If you'd like, you can do it in a one sitting. You can go back and return to the different modules if you need a refresher. But all of this is self-paced. There's not a time requirement and you're able to complete it as you go. Make sure that you pay attention to the specific areas of each and every single part of the text, is very important as you complete this challenge. Thank you and good luck.
