[MUSIC] In the previous video, you understood UiPath platforms, core components. In this video you will get an overview of Studio and Studio X to choose your learning journey. UiPath suite of automation software offers both business and technical users. The tools to design run and manage robotic processes. UiPath has two products to design automation. Studio and Studio X, which are the development environments for automation workflows. You must choose which product to use before embarking on your learning journey. It is essential to understand the capabilities and differences of Studio and Studio X, so you can make an informed choice. Over the next few minutes, we will go through their features and capabilities in depth. [MUSIC] UiPath Studio is a development environment, primarily targeting developers to build advanced automation. It assumes that the user has basic programming knowledge and gives them the ability to build automation solutions for processes ranging from simple to highly complex. Studio X on the other hand, targets business users to build simple task automation. It is a business user friendly version of studio that helps rapidly automate tasks. Without the need of a seasoned developer or coding background, thereby making automation accessible to all. Unlike Studio one does not need any programming knowledge to use Studio X. Studio is meant primarily for developers who want to build advanced automation run by attended or unattended robots. The user should have basic programming knowledge, string manipulation loops, programming structures, methods, etcetera are used extensively in Studio. Studio is suitable for RPA developers and aspiring RPA developers. Studio X was launched for non technical users. The user does not need any programming background to work with Studio X as it is a no code environment. Studio X is suitable for business users, citizen developers, business analysts, domain experts, process owners and nontechnical RPA enthusiasts. UiPath certified Professional is a high stakes certification program designed to help developers advance their career in robotic process automation across industries. UiPath currently offers two certifications. UiPath certified RPA associate. UiPath certified advanced RPA developer. These two certifications cover capabilities in UiPath studio but they don't cover UiPath Studio X. So developers aiming for globally recognized UiPath RPA credentials should opt for UiPath Studio. For more details, visit www.Uipath.com-certification. By now, you should have a good idea about whether Studio or Studio X is more suitable for you. Let us dive a little deeper and look at five key differences between the two. This will further help you in making an informed choice. Let's understand each in detail. Now, let's take a look at the automation target for the two products. Both Studio and Studio X are used for building automation solutions. However, the automation target for both is different. This difference can be seen in the kind of workflows that are allowed in each product. Studio is the preferred choice to automate processes with multiple branches, decision points and loops as it allows depiction of process flow through a flow chart. This way multiple branching and logical operators can be represented very accurately, enabling you to connect activities in multiple ways and create complex processes. [MUSIC] Studio X does not allow flow charts and is suitable for linear processes or simple tasks. Studio X is ideal for business users who want to create task automation for personal use. It follows the employee driven approach in which individuals who know their tasks best are empowered and equipped with the tools to automate. [MUSIC] Now, let's take a look at the project type for the two products. [MUSIC] Studio is suitable for projects that range from simple and small to large and complex enterprise level projects. It can handle multiple workflows and input files. Since Studio has flow charts, it is easier to visualize a large design in a complex project. [MUSIC] Studio X is suitable for small projects. It works best for automating simple tasks. Business users can use Studio X to automate simple, repetitive and rule based tasks. The project in Studio X is comprised of only a single workflow file. [MUSIC] Now let's take a look at the user interface of both Studio and Studio X. When you open Studio, you will notice that it has features that are ideal for creating complex automation projects. Various workflows such as sequences, flow charts and others are available under the new dropdown menu on the design ribbon. You will also see the debug tab which has options for resolving project code and runtime errors. [MUSIC] Also notice the activities tab which has advanced activities for building complex automation projects. [MUSIC] When you open Studio X. You will notice that the menus and buttons have descriptive names. [MUSIC] When you drag and drop activities, the dialog boxes that open our conversational and an individual with no programming background can easily configure them. One can intuitively navigate in Studio X and complete steps to create an automation. [MUSIC] Now, let's take a look at the recorders of both Studio and Studio X. [MUSIC] Studio has several types of recorders, like basic desktop web image etcetera. A developer can choose the type of recorder according to the project's requirement. [MUSIC] Studio X has a single recorder to automate the actions performed on applications and web browsers. It is easy to use and helps complete automation projects faster. [MUSIC] Now let's take a look at loops in Studio and Studio X. [MUSIC] Studio permits the use of while do while and for each loops. This gives developers greater flexibility to automate complex processes. [MUSIC] Studio X has two major categories of loops, repeat number of times and the four each loop for email, Excel files and folders. [MUSIC] Users are able to switch between Studio and Studio X profiles as they are both available after a single UiPath Studio installation. To toggle between Studio X and Studio profiles. Please follow the following steps, click the home tab, navigate to settings tab, click license and profile, click change profile. Select UiPath Studio or UiPath Studio X. On selecting the Studio profile. The interface would look like this and you can begin automating your processes. On selecting Studio X. The interface would look like this and you can begin automating your tasks. [MUSIC] The table below will help you choose between Studio and Studio X based on the technical background of the user and the complexity of the project. The table recommends the right development product based on the user's knowledge and project complexity. For example, if the user has basic programming knowledge and the project type is simple. The user can use either Studio or Studio X to build the automation solution. [MUSIC] If the project is complex then Studio is recommended. [MUSIC] If the user has no programming knowledge and the type of project is simple. Studio X is the right choice. If the project is complex, the user needs to seek expert advice to build the automation solution. Both Studio and Studio X are powerful tools to automate mundane and repetitive tasks. Now that you understand the differences between the two, it's time for you to make a choice between Studio and Studio X. If you wish to proceed with the Studio version of the course, you should continue the course from module two. However, if you wish to proceed with the Studio X version of the course, you should continue the course from module three. And that's it for this video. Thank you for watching. [MUSIC]
