Develop a Career in Engineering Project Management. Master the skills required to lead large engineering projects

About This Specialization

Major engineering projects can positively affect the lives of many people and have long-lasting impact on the economy. They are also characterized by vast complexity and carry risks such as running over schedule, coming in over budget and failing to deliver expected benefits. If you are an engineer or a project manager and you aspire to get involved with these life changing projects, or you are already working on one, you will need to acquire the project management skills that ensure their successful delivery. Throughout our three courses, you will be exposed to best practices for planning and delivering major engineering projects and gain a deep understanding of project management which will prepare you to deliver these projects and progress your career into this area. This Specialization is the first step towards earning degree credit from the University of Leeds. After you successfully complete the three Specialization courses, you will be able to apply to the enhanced, for-credit Capstone project which will run as a private course on Coursera. The Capstone project will allow you to develop your skills further through practical research supported by a dedicated instructor in global classroom sessions. Credit earned by successfully completing the Capstone project can be used as evidence of accredited postgraduate study. This specialization is accredited through a professional qualification from CMI.
