About the Course

This course takes a deeper dive into concepts introduced in the first course, with an emphasis on recognizing the focus of the CISSP eight security domains, steps of risk management, security frameworks and controls (e.g., NIST, CIA triad, OWASP), as well as common security threats, risks, and vulnerabilities. Additionally, learners are provided with an opportunity to explore and analyze SIEM data, use a playbook to respond to identified threats, risks, and vulnerabilities, and conduct a security audit. By the end of this course, you will: - Identify the common threats, risks, and vulnerabilities to business operations. - Understand the threats, risks, and vulnerabilities that entry-level cybersecurity analysts are most focused on. - Comprehend the purpose of security frameworks and controls. - Describe the confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) triad. - Explain the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) framework. - Explore and practice conducting a security audit. - Use a playbook to respond to threats, risks, and vulnerabilities....

The course content is just the right pace. I feel the review questions could be harder but on the other hand it has given me a good boost of confidence being able to learn so quickly and accurately.

It was wonderful and worth it, I am new to information technology but the arrangement of the course and the course outlines made more interested and willing and determined to keep going. Thumbs up.

It was quite dull and very linguistic rather than hands-on, with lots of memorization and theoretical info. I think it could have been compressed along with the first course together. Also, no real simulation dashboard of a SIEM was offered to at least portray animated situations.

Too vague and outdated. Especially in SIEM / IR categories.

Do Not Take this class nor Google Cybersecurity Certificate program, because you will not be able to complete Class 4 Module 2, because you will be locked out of the 5 assignments in Module 2 and when you click on the link to do them, you will get a message that says "Sorry, Not Authorized For This Resource" and the page will lock you out so you can not do the assignments. You will waste an incredible amount of time and when you report the broken links, you will get a series of repetitive and redundant suggestions from an AI bot on how to get he broken resources to work. None of these suggestions work and only AI will respond, so you are screwed and can not finish the 4thlcass of this certificate program. Since the first two classes are twice as long as the other classes, you will have literally done over half of the required work, before finding out you can not complete the certificate program!! Shame on Google and double shame on Coursera for allowing Google to have a class and certificate program that do not allow access to finish Class 4 and the certificate program. Grade F -

Too repetitive, not enough labs, a lot of theory that honestly doesn't add much value in my opinion, even though most of the theory can be useful if the person invests time into mastering them. Most of the questions i answered in the forms were very obvious, I didn't even have to read most of the content of the lessons to know what to say. Overall I felt I didn't learn anything except a list of names of technologies and frameworks that I should spend time learning on my own.
