There are 3 modules in this course
This module provides learners with a foundational understanding of Unreal Engine 4.0, beginning with its installation and interface navigation. Learners will explore the system requirements, install and configure the engine using the Epic Games Launcher, create basic projects, and interact with the core elements of the Unreal workspace. Through guided walkthroughs, they will gain confidence in moving through viewports, identifying key interface components, and differentiating between various project and viewport settings. By the end of this module, learners will be equipped to begin building and exploring 3D environments within Unreal Engine.
What's included
8 videos3 assignments
This module introduces learners to the essential tools and processes for constructing a basic game level in Unreal Engine. Starting with manipulation techniques like translation, rotation, and scaling, learners will gain practical skills in scene organization using the World Outliner. They will then advance to creating and configuring new levels, positioning lighting and Player Start elements, and blocking out scenes using basic geometry. This module builds a critical foundation for environment setup and level design within Unreal Engine’s visual editor.
What's included
6 videos3 assignments
This module equips learners with the skills to refine their game environments and understand cross-engine development fundamentals. It begins by guiding learners through the process of polishing a basic level using lighting, props, alignment, and visual enhancement techniques to improve realism and immersion. The module then shifts focus to comparing Unreal Engine and Unity, highlighting the differences in workflows, scripting systems, and object management. Finally, it explores key project settings in both engines, helping learners understand how to configure core development parameters like rendering, input, and platform deployment.
