Great course, the professor explains with excellent examples and the exercises really reinforce the material and are challenging. Thank you for offering this great courses from excellent universities.

I have completed quite a few courses on Coursera. This is by far the best instructor. I really hope David is going to do teach another Coursera course soon - I will sign up regardless of the content!

There were several problems with this course. First, the instructor was very difficult to hear because he did not appear to have a microphone and also because he would no enunciate. More importantly, he made leaps in logic that no one could possibly follow. I kept asking things like Why can we do it that way? Why would we do it that way? How does this apply to real-life? And especially, how does this link to what I have already learned in the lower maths? None of these were clearly answered, so I felt like I was just being taught something with no links to my current knowledge. This was a real slog and, although I finished it, I do not feel like I understand the topic clearly. Lastly, the timing was way off. While a person with background in algebra could make it through the first three modules fairly quickly, it needs at least three weeks for each of the last two modules, not one week. I liked the the teacher was enthusiastic about his topic, but he clearly does not remember the struggle if he thinks his students will understand what he is talking about.

It's really frustrating when so often the explanations are just not up to standard or unnecessarily convoluted, searching the same topic on youtube I was able to find much better explanations that explained all the relevant details in a clearer way; granted some were also lectureres from other universities overseas, (though some were high school teachers) but I just expected more from a maths professor from USYD while discussions forum goes into more detail (though they contain information that could easily be in the accompanying notes,, I don't know why the notes aren't revised) the explanations aren't always helpful

Vos vidéos ne sont pas à ma langue compréhensible. La traduction là distrait un peu. Comment faire pour lire les cours en Français ?
