Customize your Learning with the MAS-E Degree Planner

Customizing and planning out your graduate curriculum has never been easier with the Berkeley MAS-E Degree Planner. This tool is your guide to deciding what coursework is best for you. Follow these two simple steps to get started

  1. Select your concentration to see which eight required courses populate.

  2. Round out your degree with 14 electives from any of the remaining courses offered within the MAS-E degree course catalog. Your curriculum will then conclude with the 2-unit capstone project.

Interdisciplinary Concentrations

Select from one of the four concentrations to increase your depth of knowledge.

The Four Interdisciplinary Concentrations

  • Electronics and systems engineering

  • Advanced manufacturing and materials

  • Infrastructure, energy, and the environment

  • Robotics and controls

Flexibility
Start on any available course in your own time, at your own pace. Select the courses that align with your career goals and interests.
Learn on mobile
Take your studies on the go with mobile-friendly learning on iOS and Android. Some assignments can’t be completed on a mobile device.
Course customization
Aside from the capstone, which is completed at the end of your coursework, the degree has no required course sequence. Take the courses that work for you, when they work for you.
Program length
Choose from three enrollment terms throughout the year to earn 24 credits in as little as 9 months. Master’s degree students must be enrolled in a minimum of four units per semester for at least two semesters to meet University of California academic requirements.
