Gender empowerment is a concept widely used in political and institutional discourse. However, do we all really understand it in the same way? Is it defined in a way that is useful for women with migrant backgrounds? Does it address their real needs, or merely reflect stereotyped representations of them? How can this vagueness and these misleading portrayals affect the practical application of the concept? This course offers tools to explore the theoretical and practical dimensions of gender empowerment through an intersectional and transformative lens. If you are interested in the processes of inclusion and empowerment of migrant women, this MOOC will help you identify gender inequalities and design strategies that foster change through civil society organizations, public policies, and education. Through theoretical reflection and real examples, you will discover how to promote agency, equality, and inclusion. The course also introduces digital tools such as the Quwa platform, along with innovative approaches to generate social impact, build strong networks, and transform professional practices.
