<div> <span>Albert Wu is a practicing internist and Professor of Health Policy &amp; Management and Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, director of the Center for Health Service and Outcomes Research, and PhD Program in health services research.&nbsp; He has studied patient safety since 1988, and has published over 350 papers including “Medical error: the second victim” and the Joint Commission book “The Value of Close Calls in Improving Patient Safety.”&nbsp; He was a member of the IOM committee on preventing medication errors, Senior Adviser for Patient Safety to WHO, and is a member of the National Quality Forum Patient Safety Standing Committee. <br></span> </div> <br>
