About the Course

This is course 4 of this specialization (although it can be taken out of order) and focuses on applying experience and knowledge gained in the
first three courses to build physical electronics hardware. Specifically, this course focuses on four areas: circuit simulation, schematic entry,
PCB layout, and 3D CAD modeling. There are many excellent commercial applications available in these areas, however to give everyone
access we'll be using all free and open-source software. By the end of this course you should feel comfortable using free and open-source
software to design your own printed circuit board and any bracketry or case to hold it, customized for your application. Mod...

Nice Course. This whole specialization is quite different than you'd expect with the title. First course included stuff about Raspberry Pi, but the other three went off in details of things you would need to consider working on a home project. Actually programming the RPi is only one part of the whole thing. This course focused on designing circuits with Spice and Qucs-S, designing the PCB board based on that circuit with KiCad and then finally designing a case for the board using FreeCAD. I mostly just watched the video and took the quizzes for now. I plan to go back to some of the lectures when I'm involved with a big home project in the future. I highly highly recommend this whole specialization! Thanks to the excellent instructor Drew Wilson for this highly valuable series of courses!

I am an electronics hobbyist, started in the 90's with manually designing circuits by hand and etching copper laminated boards using Ferric Chloride solution. Later in life I became a software professional and never got around into using the modern EDA tools, 3D printers and CAD tools. It seemed that this course was simply tailored for me! It is exactly what I needed. The content, pace, devilvery and the design of the course is simply perfect. Thank you so much.

The course was very informative. I love how you explain each and every detail and those popup questions during lectures helped me understand very important points that sometimes I missed and the final quiz at the end of every module helped me revise the module and asses my understanding. Love the pattern of the quiz and how some questions have multiple correct answers.

Excelente curso. Me permitió finalmente, capacitarme en la creación de mis propios PCB. Gracias por su contribución. Excellent. Now I really can say I'm able to design my own PCB. Thanks for your contribution.
