Student Experience

The MAIRSS is a fully online degree programme taught via the Coursera learning platform, so you can create a schedule that works around commitments like employment, family, hobbies, and more. It has been designed to allow you to study independently for the majority of the programme, by watching, pausing, and returning to teaching sessions at your own pace. You’ll participate in live and scheduled sessions as well as group-based work, requiring attendance and engagement throughout the course. You can expect assignments with deadlines and specified requirements for submission.

The online learning experience includes:

  • Pre-recorded video lectures for each course.
  • Readings for each week with Multiple Choice Quizzes.
  • Weekly, self-paced course work.
  • Instruction by the same JGU faculty members who teach on campus.
  • Reference material, including books, book chapters and journal articles, will be made available online for students.

Access your courses from anywhere — you can even download them to your mobile device and study offline without using your data plan.

Interact with fellow students through course discussion forums. Get access to every question asked and answered by previous students.
