Your path to finishing your degree

This program is specifically designed for learners with existing college, military, or work experience who are ready to achieve their goal of a bachelor's degree. We welcome new students three times a year in Spring, Summer, and Fall, allowing you to begin when it works for you. A minimum of 30 transferable credits is required to apply.

Admissions requirements

For freshman applicants

This section is for applicants who have graduated from high school but have not yet earned college credit.

For transfer applicants

This section is for applicants who have earned credit at another college or university.

  • Academic requirement:  You must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.0 on all transferable college credits. You can transfer up to 60 credit hours.

  • Official transcripts: You will need to submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities you have attended.

  • Application fee: The application fee is $75 for U.S. applicants.

For international applicants

These requirements apply to all non-U.S. citizens, whether you are applying as a freshman or a transfer student.

  • Academic requirement: You must meet the academic requirements for either a freshman applicant (3.0+ high school GPA) or a transfer applicant (2.0+ college GPA).

  • English language proficiency: You must provide proof of English proficiency. This can be met through citizenship in an approved English-speaking country or by meeting minimum scores on an approved exam, such as:

    • DuoLingo (DET): 100

    • TOEFL: 79

    • IELTS: 6.0 overall band

  • Official transcripts: You will need to submit official transcripts, and you should review the specific guidelines for submitting international academic credentials.

  • Application fee: The application fee for all international applicants is $85.

Note: UNT is test-score-optional; however, submitting test scores can help determine admission decisions, testing exemptions and scholarship opportunities.
