In this project you will implement a program using C that demonstrates the basic data types and how to input and output them. The C programming language is the basis for many other programming languages. Its syntax has been used in languages such as C++, Java, and C# to name a few. It is still the language of choice for writing Operating systems, games, and many other applications where performance is critical. Note: This course works best for learners who are based in the North America region. We’re currently working on providing the same experience in other regions.

Skills you will develop

  • C Type Casting
  • C Print Formatting
  • C Programming
  • C Arithmetic Operators
  • C Data Types

Learn step-by-step

In a video that plays in a split-screen with your work area, your instructor will walk you through these steps:

  2. Use a C integer data type and prompt to read a person's age.

  3. Use a C double precision and single precision floating point number and observe the size difference.

  4. Perform C arithmetic operations on data input from a user.

  5. Print a description of the data and print the data in table format using C formatted print statements.
