This inclusive program welcomes learners from all walks of life. The performance-based admissions process serves capable learners ready to start their next educational journey without tests, application fees, or other hurdles. Complete three short courses (Introduction to Relational Databases, Linear Regression, and either a Statistics Pathway or the Computer Science Pathway course) with at least a B in each course, provide proof of your bachelor's degree, and you’ll be accepted to the program.
When you complete these programs, you can earn degree credit if you are admitted and enroll in the degree program.¹
¹Each university determines the number of pre-approved prior learning credits that may count towards the degree requirements according to institutional policies.
The certificate will state that the student has earned a Master of Data Science degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Yes. You can sample the learning experience and test your skills by enrolling in a non-credit course. You can upgrade later to the for-credit experience and pay tuition to apply the credit toward the full degree. Learners can enroll in stackable open content in fall 2023.
Illinois Tech holds its Commencement ceremony once per year in May, and all students will have the option to attend.
