Learn step-by-step

In a video that plays in a split-screen with your work area, your instructor will walk you through these steps:

  1. Understand what product design is and apply the first step in creativity which is observing.

  2. Generate ideas for your product using the design thinking process and apply it in the course project (space saving table).

  3. Choose the best idea to develop into a full concept using a criteria for what is the best solution to our space saving table.

  4. Visualize the final idea using SketchUp and learn about the methods you could use to test your product.

  5. Render your design and make it more realistic to be able to visualize the actual product and consider other design factors like material and color.
