Through this program, you’ll learn about the unique, highly in-demand area of data analysis—an overarching science that encompasses the complete management of data, including data collection, organization, storage, and all the tools and techniques of the broader field of data analysis.
Networks are everywhere, taking the form of the internet and other infrastructure networks; social, political, and economic networks; scientometric and text-representational networks; as well as food webs and molecular-level biological networks. Network analysis is a special field focused on analysis of relational data.
Throughout this program, you’ll become familiar with the process of examining, transforming, and arranging a given data set in specific ways for a specific purpose. And by participating in hands-on project work, you’ll have the opportunity to map real problems into formal statistical models and compute inferences.
