In this course, you practice English through topics connected to culture and the environment. You begin by talking about nature and listening and reading about natural places. You build vocabulary for describing natural environments and practice expressing personal preferences, including ideas about your favorite place in nature. You then study sustainability and ways people can help the environment. As you learn environmental vocabulary, you also practice language for talking about future plans, so you can describe actions people may take to protect the environment. Throughout the course, you work with readings, conversations, reading comprehension checks, Language Bite lessons, practice activities, graded quizzes, and Conversation Café discussions. These activities help you understand short texts and conversations, use new vocabulary, and share your ideas with other learners in English.
