Designed to prepare and train leaders across as many sectors and industries as possible, this programme accepts candidates without previous management experience or even a bachelor’s degree.
If your professional and academic background doesn’t match the programme's standard admissions criteria, you can also enrol via the performance-based admissions (PBA) route. After you successfully complete the first module of the programme, you’ll be invited to continue with the MSc Management at the next available intake.

This course has been developed specifically for online delivery. Your degree certificate will be awarded from the University of Huddersfield, and won’t contain any references to Coursera or online/distance learning.
This master’s degree will accelerate your progression on many career paths and outcomes, thanks to the broad range of business skills you’ll acquire. You’ll be able to take your skills and knowledge into many different types of management roles across all sectors.

Teaching methods will be varied, engaging and interactive. There will be a mixture of asynchronous, hands-on, collaborative and real-world teaching methods. The course will be structured around real-life examples and will allow you to develop your skills before assessment.
You can complete the programme in two years, studying part time.
The time commitment varies student to student depending on their commitments and ways of studying, but as a guide, to successfully complete the programme, we recommend you dedicate 12-18 hours a week to your studies.
You’ll need to complete seven modules, worth 20 credits each, and an individual research project worth 40 credits.
Students will begin the course by studying one module at a time. However, as you progress through your term intake, you'll engage in a more comprehensive approach. During modules two and three, you'll simultaneously undertake the Research Methods module alongside your other coursework. Likewise, as you advance to modules five through seven, you'll concurrently be involved in the Individual Research Project.
When you complete the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to visit Huddersfield in person to attend your graduation ceremony. Here, you’ll be able to celebrate your success and meet your coursemates and tutors in person.
This course is only available online, so there’s no option for on-campus study.
Yes, all our distance learning courses are delivered by academics from the University of Huddersfield, meaning you’ll benefit from the same level of teaching excellence as our on-campus students.
Academics will be available during online tutor hours and by appointment. Our Student Support team will be available between 9-5 Monday to Friday (UK time) by email.

If you want to transfer into the MSc Management from other awards, programmes or universities, this will be considered on an individual basis based on the modular credit and learning outcomes you’ve already achieved.

In 2024/25, the tuition fee for this course will be £8,900. Please note that tuition fees for subsequent years of study may rise in line with inflation (RPI-X).
You can pay the full course fee when you enrol or pay in instalments. If you pay in yearly instalments, your tuition fee may increase after the first year of study, rising in line with inflation (RPI-X). UK students may be eligible to apply for a UK government postgraduate master’s loan.
