This specialization — geared toward healthcare professionals, students, and anyone interested in the intersection of climate and health — will demonstrate how you can become a climate-smart healthcare leader. You’ll begin with a foundational course that helps you understand the science behind climate change. Then, you’ll engage with the course Climate Health for Healthcare Professions to think critically about the roles healthcare professionals can take to lead climate-informed approaches to patient care, systems-level improvements to the healthcare system, and take action. In the final course, Community-Based Climate Solutions, you’ll build on the first two courses to explore how you can mobilize collective action in your community. By the end of the specialization, you’ll have the confidence to act as a leader in your community to propose solutions to climate challenges that are sustainable.
