It covers coal milling systems, types of coal feeders, coal pulverizers and their major components, and the principles of emission control technologies. The module also introduces flue gas desulphurization (FGD) systems, selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and selective non-catalytic reduction (SNCR) systems for NOx reduction, electrostatic precipitators (ESP), bag filters, their operating principles, layouts, and major components.
