This course set provides knowledge about modern and sustainable solutions for urban water management in water- sensitive locations. It illuminates the challenge of protecting water and human health from chemical and microbiological hazards. To enable the learner to develop the skills to address the 21 st century’s major challenge of insufficient water supplies and sanitation, it presents the principles and legal standards that govern the use, sharing, management and protection of water resources while providing the learner with scientific knowledge and capacities to engage in water cooperation and diplomacy.
