MM
Amazing hands on learning and exposure to various tech
Ready for an interactive learning experience to build real-world generative AI applications and chatbots?
In this hands-on course, you’ll develop a series of guided projects using Python, Flask, Gradio, and LangChain to create AI-powered applications for practical scenarios, including a voice assistant, a meeting summarizer, a language translator, and a personalized career coach. You’ll work with popular large language models (LLMs) such as GPT-3, Llama 2, and Flan-UL2, hosted on platforms like IBM watsonx and Hugging Face. You’ll also explore advanced concepts, such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), to enhance LLM responses with external knowledge, and integrate speech-to-text (STT) and text-to-speech (TTS) using IBM Watson® Speech Libraries and OpenAI Whisper to enable voice interactions. While a basic understanding of Python is essential, knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript is helpful but not required. The course includes supporting readings and videos to build foundational knowledge of the models and frameworks used. In addition, a comprehensive course glossary will help reinforce your learning.

BI
The course was well-structured with practical and insightful projects.
BL
Really enjoyed this project based course. A lot nicer to learn and interesting to follow than some other IBM courses. Definitely recommend this one
KA
Quick overview of lots of things. Needs to be done in two iterations, first rapid read, and copy-paste, second slow, deliberated, and less copy-paste.
CH
Very Practical, balanced with theories, It was fun!
IA
Lab access and code implementation, explanation make this course unique.
MM
Excellent and up to date course. Highly recommended.
BM
Excellent examples as you complete the lab work to reinforce the lesson objectives.
AK
Great course with foundational learning on AI. Will be taking the AI engineer course soon
FA
well curated, presented and carefully planned. with hands-on practical cases
MS
Great course but it needs to update all the labs with the latest library versions. some of them do not work

This course gave me a good starting point for building my own RAG enhanced tool. It would be great if you could test the solutions locally on your own PC without creating an account and especially without uploading payment details when still learning (e.g. providing an API key with a certain amount of tokens/ calls per day without credit card).
The content sounded and felt artificially delivered (because there was never a 'face' to the course'.) and 2 or 3 of the projects could not be completed because there were API credential issues with WatsonX.
Shallow and outdated content and examples.
There is no tutorial for coding part. just a single basic intro video. rest i had to figure out how to do it. Only first module has code resource for tutorial rest of modules just have introduction to project. at least you can tell how to use the tools used in the tutorial. even if you want us to create project on our own.
Terrible 'course'. Very little in the way learning and almost of the modules are reliant on using the IBM IDE - not able to take the learning into my own IDE without paying for a subscription to IBM Watson. Dreadful course
This is a great course to actually build real applications with practical use cases. Its a pain to use Watson X but you can alter the code to connect to a local llm(if you're actually coding in VS code and not that skill-network side app - hopefully they take this as a hint to revise some of this course) in LLM Studio or Ollama. I Highly suggest it if you want to learn how to build real apps.

The Hands-on page was down like the 70% of the time, and the projects are the same, just call some APIs and copy/paste some code, not very interesting nor helpful. I recomend to do less projects but make the user do more stuff.
The course was very dynamic and practical, which made the learning experience engaging. Although at times the Lab environments stopped working, this was compensated by the fact that the instructions for the practical activities were always clear and complete.
This Coursera course is highly practical and teaches you how to build real-world AI apps using LangChain and LLaMA 2. It’s great for learning industry-relevant skills, though it can be light on advanced theory.
I really enjoyed this course. It contains many labs that helped me a lot to understand and practice more in real-world apps. Really appreciate the effort THANKS A LOT ! :)
