This is a beginners course. And as a beginners course, it lives up to the expectation to build fundamentals you need to know as a to-be-PM. Well Done!

CS
A really solid introduction. Lots of new terms but paced well enough so as not to overwhelm new comer. Lots here, not just for beginners.
RM
Acho um curso muito útil e interessante principalmente, porque não tinha nenhum conhecimento de gestão de projectos e é uma boa ferramenta para principiantes ao tema.

Very good course, for the basics of project management, maybe in the last section you can add a power point presentation to make the visualization clearer.

You have to pay for your certificate after completing the course, which makes it completely worthless on your CV or personal statement unless you're willing to pay to prove you completed it.

IT WAS VERY INSIGHTFUL ESPECIALLY AS A BEGIINER WHO WANTS TO MAKE A CAREER SWITCH.
The delivery style is very chalk and talk, coupled with the need to download files from other students (submitted assessments). In the modern age, there is no mention of how, or if, files are scanned by Coursera for embedded viruses and threats to user machines. This looked like it was going to be a good course, but without clarity to the above I am not going to complete the assessments so have not completed it - which is a shame.
One of driest online course I've taken, essentially just reading off a teleprompter, feels like attending a 7am calculus class with a professor speaks in mono tone with zero emotion.

Key Takeaways: - Enhanced understanding of project management frameworks and methodologies - Practical skills in project planning, execution, and monitoring - Insights into effective communication, stakeholder management, and risk management Strengths: - Expert instruction: Dr. Thomas's teaching style and expertise made complex concepts accessible and engaging. - Interactive learning environment: The program's interactive nature fostered collaboration and knowledge sharing among participants through group discussions. It's an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced instructors and network with peers. Thank you: Special thanks to Dr. Morris Thomas and the Howard University community for providing an exceptional learning experience.
This course has been an incredibly valuable learning experience, providing practical insights into project management principles and their application. The structured breakdown of concepts, such as the five process groups (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing) and development lifecycles, was particularly effective in building a strong foundational understanding.
Super informative introductory course. It is full of knowledge resources and the instructor prepared a great outline for this course. Recommended to get familiar with the essentials of project management.
The course has been exceptional, it has empowered me holistically. Looking forward to implement my new acquired from this amazing journey of project management course. Thank you HUI management.
"I’m grateful to Howard and Coursera for providing such a valuable Project Management Essentials course. The knowledge gained will undoubtedly help me in my professional journey. Thank you!"

It was a very good course for beginner level for project management. Got to know about some basics of PMI standard tools, techniques and methodologies. Definitely helped me a lot.
This course was packed with content, and all of it was helpful to know about. I would have liked more real-world examples of these things in action, and not just from reviewing peers' work, as I can't know how accurate those all are. But, it was worth it, and I would recommend this course to someone who needed to brush up on the basics and key terms of Project Management.
Content was not uniformly up-to-date. Class content relied heavily on verbatim definitions taken from the PMI. Real-life examples were brief, lacking depth and hands-on understanding of the details of a real project.
It's a person speaking to a camera. The course can be more interactive!
As a full-time student, while working full time and also running an accredited business, I do not agree with this program's feature to lock course content in an attempt to slow down a student. If this course is offering a "Flexible" timeline, none of the content should be locked. It doesn't make any sense to pay for a service and not have it delivered in full capacity, especially considering this course-load can be completed in a single day!
The course needs more visuals, less of him just reading a script. How hard is it to do a power point or a slide deck. If it wasn't for the transcript I feel like I would have been lost. I felt like this course did not teach me anything because he did not highlight the important parts of project management.
Im sorry but the videos are so hard to follow because the instructor is monotonous and its easier to just mute the video and read the transcript. I cannot continue further with this course, even though i was very excited to start it.
The owner of the course just seems to be reading text out without providing any meaningful information. The PDFs provided are good but seem to be pulled out of a Wikipedia page.
