Provides a good overview of critical Social and Governance issue, and how stakeholder activism could help ensure accountability of the Board and Management in maintaining high standards. The professor was eloquent in her presentation and the materials was well structured and balanced.

Very good, rounded content and structure. The use of examples and corporate structures and practice is heavily focussed on US companies. Some international examples will add value. In a minor point, some sides have typos and misspelt words.
This is a well taught class, good examples, the instructor is a good lecturer (maybe a little too much reading off the slides). However I'm taking this class so that I can apply for ESG positions and the class is really aimed at members of the board and CEOs -- I'm not likely, for example, to be in a position to create a "poison pill" to block a takeover, for example.
The Course cover a variety of topics related to corporate governance, including board structures, CEO succession planning, compensation, risk management, and more. The information provided is well-organized and presented in a clear and concise manner. The transcripts provide a comprehensive overview of the subject matter and offer valuable insights into the complexities of corporate governance. The language used is accessible to a broad audience, and the material provided are suitable for anyone looking to gain a better understanding of the field. Overall, it is informative and well-written, and they would be useful for anyone interested in corporate governance or related fields.
Prof. Mary-Hunter “Mae” McDonnell lucidly explains the aspects of Social Activism, Corporate Governance and Board structure with well structured presentations. Recommend to everyone who want to learn basics of Board responsibilities & Corporate Politics/Governance in this ESG era.
I learned that ESG is not a passing fad, but rather a better way of looking at the company in relation to society. There was balance in this course, meaning that companies need to be in business to earn profits in a responsible way.
Well-designed course with natural flow of structure, concrete business cases to show the concept.
Thanks for sharing the knowledge!
