Design and polish an interactive pinball game in Unreal Engine while strengthening your practical Blueprint scripting and gameplay design skills. Designed for aspiring game developers and intermediate Unreal Engine users, this hands-on course takes you beyond core mechanics to create responsive, modular, and visually refined gameplay systems.

You’ll use Splines and Construction Scripts to build dynamic environments, static mesh arrangements, and modular drop targets. You’ll create event-driven Blueprint systems with Event Dispatchers, implement scoring and slingshot mechanics, and integrate dynamic materials and UI-bound variables. You’ll also enhance gameplay with contextual audio, rolling sounds, physics-based spinner interactions, lighting, materials, and table customization. As you refine your project, you’ll apply decals and polish effects, animate UI elements, develop high score displays, and integrate particle systems for clearer gameplay feedback. Through a practical, project-based workflow, you’ll learn to construct reusable systems and connect gameplay, physics, audio, scoring, UI, and visual effects into a cohesive pinball experience. By the end, you’ll have a polished Unreal Engine pinball project and practical experience with modular Blueprint game development.

This module introduces learners to advanced level design techniques in Unreal Engine using Splines and Construction Scripts. Through practical, in-editor demonstrations, students will explore how to create and manipulate spline components, apply static meshes dynamically, and implement level progression logic efficiently.
