You’ll containerise applications with Docker, deploy them to the web, automate testing and deployment with CI/CD, and learn how CDNs help deliver applications quickly to users around the world. What is DevOps? DevOps is a set of practices that brings software development and operations together to make building, testing, deploying, and maintaining applications more efficient. Instead of relying on slow, manual release processes, DevOps teams use tools and automation to create consistent workflows that can take code from development to production quickly and reliably. You’ll encounter DevOps practices across companies of every size, making these skills valuable whether you’re working as a developer, moving towards a DevOps or platform role, or simply want to understand how real-world applications are deployed. What you'll learn: You’ll start with containers and Docker, learning how to package an application together with everything it needs to run consistently across different environments. From there, you’ll deploy applications to the web using Render and learn how production deployments work.
