To apply to our online M.S. in Computer Science, you must hold a baccalaureate degree in computer science, computer engineering, or another related computer science-theory discipline from a regionally accredited college or university (or appropriate international equivalent). You should have earned a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 in undergraduate studies. Your math and computer science background will also be assessed to determine preparation for graduate studies level computer science work. Please speak with the computer science academic programs coordinator or an enrollment counselor to discuss needed prior coursework.

Upon program completion, you will receive your diploma from the University of Oklahoma. It is conferred for a Master of Science in Computer Science. It does not have any "online" or "Coursera" designations.
The online MS-CS program falls under the University of Oklahoma’s overall accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
You can access course materials on the Coursera platform anytime from anywhere. Courses have been designed by OU’s faculty specifically for an online learning environment.
11 courses (33 credit hours) are required to earn the Master of Science in Computer Science degree.
The program is flexible, designed for working adults. Most students take six hours in the fall and spring semesters and three hours in the summer. Courses range from eight to sixteen weeks long. Depending on how many courses you take each semester, you can finish in as little as 21 months.
To apply to the online MS in Computer Science, students must hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, IT or another related discipline from a regionally accredited college or university. Students should have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 in undergraduate studies. Your math and science background will be assessed to determine preparation for the program.
