After you submit your application:

  • IIIT Hyderabad will assess your application by considering the eligibility requirements and your profile.
  • Whether your application is accepted or rejected will be decided solely by IIIT Hyderabad.
  • If your application is accepted, you will receive an email from the IIIT Hyderabad admissions office with an offer letter and instructions on the next steps.

Eligibility criteria

To apply and enrol in the programme, you must have 16 years of formal education. You must meet one of the following criteria:

  • 4 years bachelor/undergraduate in STEM fields
  • Final year student pursuing a 4 year bachelor/undergraduate degree programme in STEM fields and due to graduate before July 2024.
  • 3 years bachelor/undergraduate in STEM fields + any PG Diploma/Master to show 16 years of formal education
  • 3-year bachelor/undergraduate in any field + PG Diploma/Masters in STEM fields to show 16 years of education

Things to note on the eligibility criteria:

  • STEM includes B.E., B.Tech, BSc (Computer Science, IT, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Statistics, IT), B.A. Economics, BCA, M.Sc. (Maths, Statistics, IT), MCA, M.Tech.
  • Bachelor/undergraduate degree and transcripts are mandatory. For applicants in the final year of undergraduation and graduating before July 2024, transcripts till the final semester can be uploaded in the application.
  • Students who enroll in the MSIT programme and who completed their bachelor’s from a non-India institution will need to share an AIU (Association of Indian Universities) certification before the classes start for this programme. The purpose of the Equivalence Certificate is to ascertain that the applicant's bachelor/undergraduate qualification is equivalent to the bachelor/undergraduate qualification in India.

Basic prerequisites to enrol in the programme:

  • No Programming experience needed
  • Basic english communication needed
  • Knowledge of 1st year college level mathematics needed such as sets, functions, relations, vectors, probability and calculus. (Especially For AI/ML & Data Science specialisations)
