Solana processes upto 65,000 transactions per second—faster than Visa's network. This short course was created to help Software Development professionals build and deploy basic Rust programs on the Solana blockchain. By completing this course, you'll be able to explain Solana's unique consensus mechanism and deploy your first on-chain programs the next day at work. By the end of this course, you will be able to: understand Solana's Proof of History mechanism, apply Solana CLI commands for program deployment, and implement Rust program structures with proper serialization. This course is unique because it combines theoretical blockchain concepts with hands-on Rust programming in Solana's high-performance ecosystem. To be successful in this project, you should have basic programming experience and familiarity with command-line tools.
