Dr. Tracey Osborne is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management of Complex Systems at the University of California, Merced, and Founding Director of the University of California Center for Climate Justice. She is an interdisciplinary scholar whose research examines the social, political, and ecological dimensions of climate change mitigation in tropical forests, with particular attention to climate justice, climate finance, carbon markets, and the rights and leadership of Indigenous Peoples and local communities. Her work combines research and practice to advance more equitable approaches to natural climate solutions and global environmental governance. Tracey received her Ph.D. from the Energy and Resources Group at the University of California, Berkeley.
