Magnus Ekman, PhD, is a Director of Architecture at NVIDIA, where he leads an engineering team focused on CPU performance, power efficiency, and simulation for platforms ranging from autonomous vehicles to data centers for artificial intelligence. He holds a doctorate in computer engineering and is the inventor of multiple patents. Prior to NVIDIA, he worked in processor design and R&D at Sun Microsystems and Samsung Research America. Ekman is the author of the book and accompanying video lecture series Learning Deep Learning.
