After taking this course, I can see where & how I can apply my skills and love for numbers. I am confident in my decision and cant wait to put all the pieces together.
Thank you, Coursera & Intuit!

This course was well put together. I used to feel so intimidated by finances. The interactive videos and practice exercises do a fantastic job of explaining concepts learned throughout this course.

Learned a lot but the spreadsheets don't work so the final is very difficult because you don't just have to do the entries you have to make the spreadsheet formulas work too which is difficult since I barely know what I'm doing. If I had no other experince I would have not been able to finish.

There is some valuable information in here but you have to get through a very irritating cartoon to get it. The course (and learners) would be better served to get rid of the cartoon and the 'quirky' character and just teach the material.

I wish it gave more detail into how to place transactions into the right accounts and gave us more practice with processing transactions through the accounting cycle. I did the course and I don't feel very confident in what I learned.

Easy to understand assignments, but using Quickbooks isn't going to help when we have to do manually entry. More focus should be on manual entry methods and saving quickbook lessons for more advanced lessons.

I hated the graphics, the language and the practice. There was a maximum of 2 pages of notes from the whole course. Not much practice and understanding of a hands on approach. "expert" videos were horrible.

the course is good and you can go through it in a couple of days.
The bummer is that the Intuit Certificate is only accessible for people in the US and the additional 3 modules are not present on Coursera.

It's terrible. Yes, you learn what a Bookkeeper does, etc. but you are basically taught by a cartoon. I still have a few days with my free trial so I'll try another course.

Sure they mention many things but didn't cover the basics well. I still don't know when to debit or credit an account and didn't get any of Lou's trial balance right.

The Class was very basic info. Little was explained on general ledger but a lot was on final test. Had to do side resources to fully understand some key parts.

Very confusing. 2nd week had a video that launched 5 terms and 7 equations at me and explained nothing. Needs to be slower and more detailed.

It was ok for the basics but it did not give me any real hands on training that I was wanting for learning more about quickbooks online.

I completed it up until the final page where the test was for American's only. As a Canadian I was unable to do this final step.

Not enough practice and images can not be seen (too small). Also, need reference material that can be downloaded.

Great for some people maybe, but this feels like a long commercial. It's unbearable.

Don't enjoy the cartoon videos, would prefer text to study.

As someone with no prior experience in bookkeeping i feel like this course was very hard to follow, the cartoon was entertaining to watch but did not provide much detail, while the recordings from experts were too detailed and not well prepared or well-spoken making then hard to follow. After watching videos from other sources (youtube) i was able to understand the difference in crediting and debiting in double-entry accounting. Overall I feel as though this course was made as a quick reminder course for those already aware of bookkeeping or a course that was created very poorly and quickly with little outside rating from those who are new to the subject

This course if a lot of rushed book knowledge about bookkeeping but no actual hands on work/assignments. When I got to the case study, even though I passed all the quizzes, I still feel like I didn't have the hands on experience in order to complete the work correctly. This is perfect for people who don't need hands on teaching or brushing up on prior knowledge of bookkeeping. Disappointed with this course especially when this seems like it could be the answer to cheaper education but it's not. Overall I would have to say don't waist your time or money

I finished all 4 courses (Intutit bookkeeping certificate).
This first course is the only decent one. I'm rather shocked by how badly put together this certificate is. So many errors. I would not recommend this course to someone looking to learn bookkeeping. Save your time and money and search for better options. Newbies need practice. LOTS of practice. That's how people learn. Extremely disappointed.

a lot of talking and not enough practice. the only practical application you get to do is at the very end and they dont even let you know if you did it right. the course is far to concerned with a made up story that doesnt really help you understand the concepts they are trying to teach.

teacher as a cartoon character? terrible voice for the cartoon character? rock music on the background? Really??? It was extremely annoying approach to teach a very interesting subject. I quit this course after like 2 min of watching. Not possible to listen to this.

When I signed up for these classes, nowhere did it say that I would have to have specific subscription to take these tests to complete the course work! I have just spent hours watching videos and all other work and NOW I can not take the test because of the cost!

This course can't even get the basic definitions of debit and credit correct. It keeps listing money flowing into an account as credit when it should be debit, according to every other reputable course in existence.
