I abolutely loved this. It has helped me tremendously in my understanding of self and setting a personal transcending purpose. And Vic, thank you for sharing your story. It made me tear up at the end.

Short and precise course to get some perspective on finding focus on things that really matter. Vic is an excellent professor who just connects so well with the students even from the computer screen.

Being somewhat flittering about like a feather in a breeze, the course title lead me to believe that it would, in some fashion, provide a guide that might help me find my way ... it did not. It talks about the value of purpose, the different "types" or categories of purpose, as well as a number of other purpose-related topics but comes nowhere near to providing a means for someone who feels purposeless, to help that person find a purpose. The course title needs to be re-named to accurately reflect the content, or the content changed to accurately reflect the intention of the title of "finding a purpose ..."

Lots of inapprioriate content. "By the time he was 12, both of his parents had died. He was called an AIDS orphan by many people, although I don't think he really likes that term. But as an AIDS orphan, he..."
Lots of references to Christianity.
One of his examples suggests "losing weight" as a way to achieve the goal of "finding a partner."
This course is by and for old out-of-touch white guys who do not want their assumptions challenged.
