إدارة المعرفة (Knowledge Management) هي عملية إنشاء واستخدام وإدارة المعرفة والمعلومات داخل المؤسسة (Organization)، وهي عبارة عن مجموعة من الطرق والأساليب التي تهدف إلى تحقيق الأهداف الاستراتيجية للمنشأة، من خلال الاستفادة المثلى من المعرفة (Knowledge) المتاحة، ومحاولة توفير نوعية المعرفة (Knowledge) التي تسهم بشكل إيجابي في ذلك، فعلى سبيل المثال أهم العوامل التي يجب التركيز عليها في إدارة المعرفة (Knowledge Management) هي ضمان سهولة تدفق المعلومات بين المستويات الإدارية المختلفة، مما يساعد المؤسسة (Organization) على الوصول لمستويات أداء تسمح لها بتحقيق مستوى تنافسي (Competitive Position) جيد في السوق.
