Navigate the critical path from early-stage semiconductor development to high-volume manufacturing with confidence.
This course equips process engineers, technology managers, and yield leads with the skills to map development timelines to readiness gates, interpret qualification data—HTOL, EM, and baseline yield—and analyze process robustness risks before transfer. Through realistic gate reviews, qualification data sets, and risk registers, you'll practice the judgment required to move a process forward or escalate concerns, reducing ramp-up time and manufacturing risk. Ideal for individuals responsible for technology lifecycle decisions, qualification planning, and process robustness engineering in semiconductor fabs and design centers. By the end of this course, you will be able to: - Map technology-development phases to corresponding readiness gates and required deliverables for a specified chip program timeline. - Evaluate qualification data—including reliability sampling and baseline/control splits—against predefined acceptance criteria to decide if a process is ready for transfer to high-volume manufacturing. - Analyze identified process robustness risks to assign targeted mitigation experiments within the next experimental learning cycle. Working knowledge of semiconductor process flow (lithography, etch, deposition, metrology); familiarity with yield analysis and statistical process control (SPC); experience reading process documentation (travelers, test plans) and understanding of reliability-test metrics (HTOL, EM, parametric margins).
