This course creates an avenue for me to update my learning. Also, I have been able to learn new concepts in curriculum through words of Professpr John MacBeath and Associate Professor Suseela

A comprehensive look into curriculum. The magnitude of the importance of courses like this is huge as well as multifold. This is a good course for everyone and it helps learners to develop a good perspective of looking at the curriculum, pedagogy and instruction. The ideas shared also help interested persons to develop new ideas and explore new ideas. It is also a good refresher for persons already exposed to curriculum theories and ideas.

I enjoyed the course, I learned different concepts and so on, but I did not like some test, they were, sometimes, so vague, the question and the answer can be improved, on the other hand, some resources, mainly videos, were so old, I consider they can be changed for actual videos.

In some cases, assessment questions were used that were only covered in subsequent lessons or interviews. While I was able to answer them based on my preexisting knowledge, this left the impression that the structure of the course was not entirely thought out.

Adequate in the idea of making a curriculum. I would have loved a week dedicated to the act of making a sample curriculum itself, as in the document, with all the topics, body text etc. I do understand that the supplement reading is there to aid on this matter, however this part coming from the respected lecturers of this course would have more practical weight-age. Otherwise, highly recommended course for teachers and curriculum planners.

This course is probably very good for teachers who teach in education systems.
However, I found this course less useful in a business setting. I'm half way through it at the moment, and will probably not complete is as it's not applicable to sales orgs training.

Too monotonous, could implement some of the information mentioned in the course. I would have like the certificate to include my name.

The information is good if you have no detailed knowledge of curriculum and curriculum theory and development. The course delivery methods are very boring and hard to stay engaged in. The teacher reads from various PowerPoints and the course is extremely information-heavy, which makes it hard to retain that information. There are no examples provided and no detailed study of curriculum given. The assessments are hard to get correct because they are not coming from the course material, and you are somehow expected to synthesize the information in a manner that translates to the assessments, which does not work well at all. I only passed the assessments because I have a background in teaching and instructional design. If you know nothing about curriculum, this course may be a good place to start, but if you already have basic knowledge in curriculum and are just looking to gain an alternative perspective or more in-depth information and examples on actual curriculum development, I would not bother taking this course.
