Casual Fridays Are Insulting: Treat Adults Like Adults "Dress-down Friday" emails make me cringe. Why do we need permission to dress comfortably one day per week? Are we children who've earned a special treat for good behaviour? The whole concept implies that looking professional requires suffering in uncomfortable clothing Monday through Thursday. Then management graciously allows us to dress like humans for eight hours. It's patronising corporate theatre.Professional behaviour matters.
