Build practical API testing and automation skills with RestAssured, Java, Maven, and Cucumber. Designed for learners who want hands-on experience with API testing, this course takes you from API and web service fundamentals to structured, end-to-end test automation.

You’ll configure a Maven-based Java project, create RestAssured tests, and build API requests using GET, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE methods. You’ll work with JSON data using JSONPath and JSONObject, validate API interactions, and apply authentication, authorization, and parameterization techniques to strengthen your test cases. As you progress, you’ll design and execute a behavior-driven development (BDD) automation framework using Cucumber feature files and test runners. You’ll connect these techniques into a complete RestAssured API testing workflow and evaluate best practices for future test implementation. What makes this course distinctive is its step-by-step progression from API fundamentals and project setup to request handling, security, parameterization, and BDD framework execution. By the end, you’ll be able to configure RestAssured projects, create and validate API tests, and execute structured API test automation with Cucumber.
